The Royal Town of Pahang
Pekan is the royal town of Pahang. It is located near the mouth of the Pahang River. It is an official status declared when the royal family dicided long ago to choose the town as their place of residence. Located near the mouth of the Pahang River, Pekan is quite for much of the year, but bursts into pomp and pageantry in October each year in celebration of the birthday of HRH the Sultan of Pahang.
